mmm, like the pig with his snout in the trough I was back to Hove for more
of the same after work. Wind was cross-off by now and the shorebreak was
peaking and hollow at 8 foot tall. By the time I had rigged, the tide had
eased back a bit so that there were gaps in the munchers. Scooted out with
5m sail and blasted straight out back onto the face of a big'un. Carved it
down wind all the way to the inside. Usually the big ones out back dont
always equal the best ones on the inside. Not tonight, keep sailing out to
sea until you find the set, gybe and pick the 2nd or 3rd one and bob's yer
uncle. Tonight you could ride them literally over the concrete groynes,
even when they looked like closing down, there was always enough clean wave
to make one more turn before pulling out. Made 7 decent turn combos on
one. Lovin' it. Sunny throughout, and wind eventually eased off.
